Rooter is a program for finding the roots of polynomials of order 10 or less. It uses the QR algorithm to find the roots.
To use rooter enter the coefficients of the polynomial in the editable text boxes to the left of the dialog box. When you finish entering the coefficients press enter, return, or push the compute button.
The roots of the polynomial appear on the right side of the dialog box. The roots are displayed in their real and imaginary format.
For you control system types the center columns of the dialog box display the frequency and damping of the roots according to the formula
s^^2 + 2*damping*frequency*s + frequency^^2.
The frequency is in radians/second.
